On Wednesdays Montana's has an "all you can eat beef rib night", its worth the trip and go there hungry. They have 2 choices of beef ribs "back" or "side" ribs, back ribs are more tender and have more meat on them. Its a fantastic meal and very delicious, I find myself dreaming of those ribs the rest of the week. Sadly they do not offer the same meal any other night of the week, its a one night only affair, the rest of the week they offer only a pork bone substitute for "Ribs" which is not at all like on rib night. Another annoying thing is you cannot switch rib type once you start so choose carefully. I know they have Rib night in several other Montana's restaurants in the Ottawa area on the same night but I don't know if it's chain wide, check with your local restaurant. The Wednesday night beef ribs are the best I've ever had. Read more

If you only have a one hour lunch then this is definitely NOT the place for you to eat at that time. We arrived and it was busy. The place seems cramped but it appearred to be clean. We had reserved a table for noon and waited a while to get seated. When the waitress finally made it to our table we ordered drinks and our food at the same time. It took a long time just to get our drinks and a very long time for our food. It ended up being an hour and a half lunch. Most other restaurants in the area offer a quick lunch so people can get back to work in a timely fashion. This is where The Wood falls drastically short. The food was good, this I will not dispute. By burger was juicy and cooked perfectly and the salad with balsamic dressing was fresh and nice also. Unfortunately the speed of service will have to keep me away from this restaurant. Read more

Went here for my birthday dinner with the family and I have to say it was an amazing meal! We all ordered different items off the menu and I think the staff thought we were crazy because we were trying each other's food, but I have everything was so tasty! The vegetarian main had many different elements to it and all were delicious, the mushroom tarte, steak frites and soup were great. Our waiter was very friendly and overall I would say the atmosphere is inviting. I consider this restaurant a little bit pricey, but perfect for a special occasion and worth the money. Read more
